The Associate VP, Product Management – Medical Capabilities leads or coordinates cross-functional teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for employer and member use. The Associate VP, Product Management – Medical Capabilities requires an in-depth understanding of core medical offerings across our Commercial Fully-Insured and Self-Funded book of business (~$6B in premium revenue).

 

Responsibilities

 

The Associate VP, Product Management – Medical Capabilities manages the entire medical portfolio for the Employer Segment, from concept development through delivery. This leader has direct influence with senior leaders and Market Vice Presidents through developing the multi-year product roadmap, including setting vision, goals, and launching capabilities.  The leader will need to understand employer trends and needs, understand competition and customer gaps, along with ability to anticipate new inflection points. Business acumen of key business outcomes and drivers that impact P&L and expertise and knowledge of the group medical insured market and self-funded solutions are critical. As the medical portfolio owner, you will also collaborate with the Product Enablement team to activate successful go-to-market launches and leverage consumer insights and our agile framework to create a faster delivery and consumer feedback loop for product enhancements and optimization. Humana Values will be central to the role as it will require collaboration across product teams and the enterprise to configure owned and partnered capabilities for competitive, differentiated, profitable products tied to our Employer Group strategy.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 or more years of health plan experience
  • 8 or more years of management experience
  • 5 or more years of product management
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Commercial Health plan experience
