About the role

The Product Owner (PO) serves as the Customer proxy and is responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other Product Owners and teams—to define and prioritize stories into his/her scrum team's backlog. In addition, the Product Owner also attends most relevant Product Management meetings about planning and Program Backlog/Vision refinement. An ideal candidate is a great collaborator, has a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and several years of experience leading scrum teams with mobile, backend, data science and QA resources.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the (scrum) team, customer and product milestones and priorities
  • Collaborate with product manager on product vision and strategy
  • Ensure scrum team deliverables are aligned with company mission and goals
  • Consolidate requirements and cross-functional goals into estimated (points) user stories
  • Closely monitor and manage scrum teams velocity and continuous improvement
  • Serve as primary owner of a scrum team's backlog and priority
  • Collaborate with scrum team and other product owners on priorities
  • Organize scrum team planning and delivery process
  • Primary contact for customer deployments

Desired skills

  • 2+ years experience as a product owner, business analyst, or in a similar/related role
  • Bachelor’s in business, computer science, or related field; master’s preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and familiarity / awareness of industry best practices
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of software development
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams, both in-house and remotely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, scrum team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
