Associate Product Manager
Description
EnerNOC, Inc., an Enel Group company and a leading provider of energy intelligence solutions, has an immediate need for a Associate Product Manager to join our product management team.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for developing the roadmap for and ensuring the successful creation of a world class Energy Intelligence Software platform. You will work hand in hand with our product strategy teams to understand product offerings and with customers and business representatives from across EnerNOC to define delivery models, with a specific focus on cross application integration from customer facing products through to back office data, architecture and processing. This is a terrific opportunity to have a major impact on some of the most innovative “killer applications” of the smart grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of our target customers and our market space
- Understand EnerNOC’s offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer needs
- Conduct interviews of customers, partners and prospects to gather general data and detailed feedback for specific initiatives
- Identify, prioritize, create and implement enhancements and new offerings by assessing the market, listening to customers, defining requirements, building product, and rolling out new solutions
- Document business requirements in the form of epics and user stories and communicate them effectively to the engineering teams
- Work directly with our engineering teams and represent the voice of customer in the development process
- Understand EnerNOC’s product strategy and roadmap across key internal functional areas, including product development, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and legal
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in software product management preferred and/or relevant experience within the product development life cycle
- 5 – 10 years of energy industry experience
- Experience in energy management a plus
- Knowledge and experience with data visualization, analysis, data mining and data collection/processing a plus
- Working knowledge of API ecosystems, management and subscription model concepts a plus
- Business acumen, leadership potential, and the ability to drive tough decisions
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and other software development methods
- Ability to work in a fast paced exciting environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA with Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Economics or related field preferred
- Creativity and a sense of humor a must
