The Role

Engineers at EverTrue work together to develop leading mobile and web platforms that support fundraising initiatives for over 300 educational institutions. We are looking to add a full-stack, backend or frontend developer co-op to our team. You will closely work with our team of experienced front-end and back-end engineers as well as product managers to build innovative products and write great code.

What you’ll do

Collaborate with the team to build features for our platform from the backend to the frontend.

Help build medium to large projects and work with lead engineers and product managers to help plan, prioritize and develop work

Promote quality through regular code reviews and by writing tests to validate work and prevent regression

Learn how our microservices should be designed and scaled to handle billions of data points

Gain a deep understanding of modern API design patterns and best practices

Improve your knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and front-end frameworks

Qualifications

Have some experience with Javascript, Java and MySQL

Understand API patterns and common practices

Some experience with modeling denormalized and normalized data

Understand how to work with API’s in JavaScript applications

Have a positive and respectful attitude with the desire to work in a rapid-growth, entrepreneurial environment
