EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response (a reduction of real-time demand for electricity during critical times) and energy efficiency solutions, is looking for interns to join our Commercial Sales Operations team. This position is ideal for individuals who want to make an immediate impact within a leading clean technology company.

The primary mission of the Commercial Sales Operations team is to provide direct support to the sales reps and sales leaders who drive revenue for the company. To do so, Sales Ops Interns will assist our outside sales Business Development Managers with contract generation and data requests, and work on systems projects to facilitate sales productivity and CRM database maintenance.

This full time (40 hours/week) co-op will run from July – December.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Directly assisting the outside sales Business Development Managers (BDM) with proposal and contract generation
  • Supporting system and process improvement projects with involvement in testing of enhancements and related data cleanup
  • Supporting the sales process by maintaining quick turnaround of data requests and liaising with other internal teams who also support those processes
  • Utilizing EnerNOC’s CRM database to build/manage reports and dashboards for sales prospecting efforts and assist with sales pipeline management (MS Excel, Salesforce.com)
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree or recent grad
  • A proactive, energetic, and customer-centric attitude and ability to quickly forge productive and collegial relationships
  • Highly productive and efficient with ability to multi-task across a broad set of deadline-oriented tasks and with minimal supervision
  • Strong quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in productivity tools, specifically MS Office
  • Ability to manage confidential business and personnel information with a high degree of discretion

Desired Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in sales operations, sales and lead generation, marketing, business operations
  • Prior experience within and/or demonstrated passion for the clean tech sector
  • Prior experience with CRM (e.g. Salesforce), and ability to build reports and dashboards

The successful candidate will be a confident and professional self-starter, a good listener, and able to work well within a team in a rapidly growing business.
