Portfolio and Data Insights Intern

This internship will run through December 2020 with the flexibility to be part or full-time. Must be located within the East Coast time zone to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Design normalized database models and prepare clean data for data scientists and data visualization tools
- Ensure database optimization, integrity, and consistency
- Assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning
- Providing assistance to others in topics related to data management
- Optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot performance issues, fine-tune databases, and create/maintain database
- Develop applications to enable scientists to make secure updates to our databases
- Become familiar with and contribute to our data infrastructure and processes

Qualifications
- Experience with Python and SQL (Experience with Python Dash applications preferred)
- Experience designing and creating normalized relational databases
- Experience with database tuning, database integration design and implementation, and management of database projects
- Familiarity with the command line / unix shells
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- This candidate must be located within the East Coast time zone
