HubSpot is looking for a talented individual who wants to learn about social media marketing. There are many facets within our social media team, and in this role you’ll be primarily tasked with the following:

• Ideate content ideas across social channels (primarily Facebook and Instagram)
• Create Instagram Stories
• Assist in social content copywriting (e.g. scripts for Facebook videos)
• Video editing experience a plus!

This role requires a high level of project management, communication, content ideation, creativity, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.

This position will collaborate with the social team including content strategists, video editors, analysts, and community managers. Beyond the social team, this individual will also work with our video team on creating video for social.

What You'll Learn:

• You’ll learn how adapt an idea and make social content out of it that fits various audience interests across multiple channels.
• You’ll learn how to create more engaging social content that will yield better performance through iteration.
• You’ll learn how to write scripts that are successful as Facebook video.
• You’ll learn how Facebook (and all social) fits into a business’s marketing strategy

Core Skills:

• We’re looking for someone with strong writing skills (and examples to prove it).
• You should be highly organized, with your own detailed process for getting things done and managing your time.
• You are an avid observer of interesting brands — not just because you like their products/services but because you study how they engage their audience and drive interest.
• You are highly adaptable and like change. You thrive in an environment where your task list isn’t the same every single day.
• You’re always willing to help out a classmate or learn something new. If you’re the type of person who learned a new software program so you could create a video or graphic or you’ll spend hours researching a topic until you’re an expert, this is the perfect role.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Understanding of the various social media platforms
• Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, or After Effects is a plus!
• You are available to work full-time from January 2019 to July 2019.
