BitSight is looking to hire a highly-motivated Intern with a keen interest in cybersecurity and technology law to join its Legal Team for Summer 2022.  The successful candidate will receive exposure to a variety of practice areas within a corporate legal environment, including commercial transactions, data protection and privacy, data licensing, product development, and intellectual property.

Responsibilities:

• Research legal questions concerning data protection and privacy, cybersecurity and data licensing
• Assist with drafting and amending customer and vendor contracts
• Help draft corporate policies and create compliance training materials and programs
• Support the development of templates and systems to help streamline BitSight's internal legal processes
• Contribute to the development of BitSight's growing intellectual property portfolio

Qualifications: 

• Rising second-year (2L) law student currently pursuing a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Superb oral and written communication, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Prior work experience demonstrating business acumen and project management skills
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Interest in technology law and cybersecurity issues
• Prior work experience in the software or cybersecurity industries is a plus
• Prior experience using Zoom, Slack and Google Workspace in the workplace is a plus
