EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, is looking for interns to join our Order Processing team. This position is ideal for individuals who want to make an immediate impact within a leading clean technology company.

The ideal Business Operations Intern will be bright, relentless and good. The Intern must be detail-oriented and analytically-driven, with proven success in delivering quality customer service within deadline-driven environments. The Intern will enjoy working in a rapidly-evolving industry, and will possess the necessary skills to both solve complex problems and communicate solutions effectively to the teams they will be working with, including Sales, Legal, Energy Markets, Finance, and Operations.

This full time (40 hours/week) co-op will run from January - June.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts and other documentation from Consumer & Industrial customers to ensure that internal databases match contract information in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and EnerNOC’s pricing policy
  • Communicate directly with Sales in order to ensure that contract requirements are understood and to facilitate processing
  • Support the sales process by maintaining quick turnaround of activated contracts back to customers
  • Facilitate communication between Sales, Energy Markets, Finance, Business Ops, Legal, and Operations teams
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the contract database and paperless workflow
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree or a recent grad
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work both in a team setting and independently, and exercise excellent judgment
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and energetic
  • Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within and/or demonstrated passion for the clean tech sector
  • Experience with SalesForce.com, CRM systems, or object-oriented databases
  • Familiarity or experience with Legal documents
