Mimecast’s Accounting internship will provide insight into the day to day activities of a publicly traded SAAS company. You’ll have the opportunity work across various groups within the North America Accounting function that include Tax, Treasury, Technical Accounting, etc. We went public in November 2015. You’ll get insight into how we are progressing post IPO as an Accounting department while being public, and how we want to scale given our rapid growth.

The Accounting intern will be responsible for:

• Assist with month-end close process relating to journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support the accounting team in preparing and delivering compliance and audit requirements
• Help processing transactions in accounts payable and revenue
• Assist with state tax compliance and reporting (income/sales)
• Special projects that span various functions within Accounting, Tax and Treasury
• Ensure accurate maintenance of bank account balance and bank cost information
• Support cash forecasting process and monitor worldwide cash balances

Qualifications

• Ability to start by June and work through end of August for at least 40 hours a week
• Completed at least 2 full years towards undergraduate Finance or Accounting degree
• Currently working towards undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Accounting
