Position Summary
The Senior Staff Accountant reports to the Finance Manager an d is primarily responsible for maintaining the accounting records for both the Group's holding company and the operating company. This will include posting entries during the month, reconciling accounts at month end and taking out monthly financial statements.
This individual will be expected to perform a variety of accounting tasks in an effective and efficient manner to ensure the Company's financial records are accurate and the Company maintains compliance with internal and external financial reporting requirement s. **This position can be local to Boston or remote.
Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries as required during the monthly/yearly close reconciliation process.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather information needed to complete the monthly /yearly close process
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts and maintain documentation in cloud-based reconciliation software(Quickbooks Online).
• Assist with submission of monthly financial results.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting deck for executive Finance Team.
• Assist with the management of the receivables and payables ledgers.

• Assist in preparation for annual audits, including interacting with auditors.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned.
• Prepare documentation to support tax returns.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in related Accounting roles
• Experience with Quickbooks Online and online banking, etc.

• Experience working in a detailed monthly close environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Self-starter who will excel in a fast-paced, high-growth, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential information.
• Demonstrated organization and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills that include effective skills in written communication, oral communication, collaboration, and problem solving with other departments and colleagues.
