The Senior Revenue Accountant will support all aspects of the revenue cycle. This role will assist with revenue recognition, analysis of technical accounting issues, and capitalization of deferred costs. This role will work with other company departments to ensure that customer-related revenue is accounted for, billed and reported properly. The Senior Revenue Accountant must be able to assist with the reconfiguration of current processes and controls, as well as ad hoc requests on an as needed basis. 

What you'll do:

• Assist with revenue related monthly close items & reconciliations
• Responsible for reviewing contracts under ASC606 to ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Assist with maintaining SSP to remain in compliance with ASC606
• Handle allocations related to multi-element arrangements
• Responsible for maintaining deferred revenue reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balances on a monthly basis
• Interact with legal, professional services and billing to ensure quote and invoice accuracy
• Preparation and analysis of monthly revenue fluctuations to understand revenue drivers
• Assist with preparation and completion of reconciliations and support for annual audit, as well as assisting and communicating with the audit team during fieldwork

What you need:

• Minimum 3 years’ progressive accounting and/or finance experience in a consulting or public accounting firm, or public / private mix
• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC rules related to revenue reporting – specifically, technology industry/SaaS based company accounting principles and accounting for multiple element arrangements
• ASC606 experience a must
• NetSuite, Salesforce (or other CRM system) experience preferred
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• International experience and foreign currency exchange accounting is a plus
• CPA a plus
