The Financial Analyst will join the Finance team as a trusted strategic advisor to the Director of Finance and the CFO. This role is responsible for managing the forecast process and providing insightful analysis on the financial performance of the business. The Financial Analyst will work collaboratively with various departments leads as a business partner and will act as a strategic advisor to operational teams to identify cost drivers.

You Should Expect to:

• Work closely with senior management and partner with business to prepare annual Budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly statements, strategic analysis and ad-hoc analysis.
• Execute the budget to actual process across departments and report progress against targets.
• Develop and maintain financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with People & Culture team to develop the hiring plan for all functions and track progress of headcount changes.
• Support the build of Finance technologies to streamline processes, scale the Finance function, and generate timely and insightful reports for the business.

What you bring to the Abacus Team:

• Must be analytical, hands on, and able to be a contributor day one.
• Ability to identify actions necessary to complete tasks and obtain results while establishing trust and creditability at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to operate at an ambiguous start-up environment where you will try to develop and optimize our operations.
• Desire to understand quantify business drivers and how they impact financial forecasts.
• Experience with cost optimization of cloud computing spending (specifically AWS).
• Proven analytical, financial modeling and spreadsheet skills.
• 5+ years of Finance experience.
