SEC Reporting Manager
The SEC Reporting Manager will manage and prepare Vestmark’s SEC filings as well as research and document technical accounting issues that are relevant to the company. The SEC Reporting Manager will work closely with Accounting to proactively keep up to date with the latest regulatory developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, equity-based compensation accounting, income taxes and internal controls, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all SEC financial filings in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules
- Prepare/coordinate quarterly earnings releases
- Complete GAAP disclosure checklist to ensure all required GAAP disclosures and
accounting is considered - Proactively research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting treatment
position papers - Support Sarbanes-Oxley internal control planning, documentation, and controls testing
- Support annual external audits and quarterly reviews
- Perform complex ongoing accounting tasks, g., stock-based compensation, earnings
per share - Drive continuous improvement in the timeliness and accuracy of the external reporting
process - Support additional accounting-related projects as needed
Skills and Requirements:
- Public audit firm experience with of 5+ years’ experience
- Public company reporting exposure
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP system reporting
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
