Job Description:

Netcracker is in search of a Revenue Manager, reporting to the Revenue Controller, who will be a supportive business partner and enthusiastic leader in a customer-centric environment. The Revenue Manager will be responsible for overseeing a global team.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing revenue guidance on IFRS 15/ASC Topic 606/ASC Topic 605 to various departments (Sales, Legal, Managed Services, Customer Support, Sales Ops, Finance), particularly when it comes to contract structuring and providing suggestions on how to maximize revenue recognition.
  • Help train Sales, Legal, Finance and other departments on the new revenue accounting standards (IFRS 15/ASC Topic 606).
  • Lead monthly close process by ensuring team properly books and recognizes revenue accurately for all fully executed agreements and ongoing projects.
  • Monitor monthly committed revenue forecast and identify any risks or variances to be reported to upper management.
  • Develop and build team talent, while simultaneously ensuring and enforcing accountability.
  • Establish strong relationships in highly collaborative environment.
  • Create new policies and procedures to ensure revenue is being recognized accurately.
  • Review & monitor balance sheet accounts related to revenue.
  • Coordinate annual audits led by Big 4 firm and respond to external audit queries to ensure auditors receive required information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Help lead projects to drive efficiency in reporting process, including improving internal ERP system used to book and record revenue transactions.

 

Experience & Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job:

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting 
  • CPA preferred; Master’s Degree highly valued
  • 6-8 years of accounting experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Experience with US GAAP & IFRS revenue recognition and contract structuring, particularly in the technology or software industry preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically and have a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with experience working cross-functionally within the company & across different time zones.
