SimpliSafe is looking for a Resource Analyst: Manufacturing & Supply Chain to support the organization in achieving its supply chain goals and objectives. The role’s primary responsibilities are to (i) ensure that all shipping and receiving activities, as well as all inventory controls, are conducted with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner and (ii) create economic efficiencies across SimpliSafe’s supply chain operations. The position will report to the Company’s Controller and work as the primary liaison between Accounting & Finance, Operations and external supply chain partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory position versus forecasted demand and delivery schedules to reduce stock out
- Model inventory demand for finished goods to inform purchasing at contract manufacturers
- Manage consigned and buffer inventory positions against lead times to minimize line down at contract manufacturers
- Reduce freight costs through efficient supply chain management
- Analyze bill of material costing at contract manufacturers to ensure accurate invoice pricing
- Update and maintain inventory rate files to easily track changes in costs per unit over time
- Create and distribute daily/weekly reports (as needed) for communication of inventory levels internally
- Monitor daily ocean/air shipments to effectively communicate delays to appropriate internal departments
- Coordinate physical inventory management with in-field warehouse teams
- Manage a complex inventory model with advanced Excel skills
- Assist in ad hoc projects, as needed
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Advanced proficiency in use of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to details and the ability to work independently
