As an experienced Payroll Manager, you will assist in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation in the company. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments. You will have a great understanding of the concept of confidentiality. You will be experienced in a hands-on environment, entering data with attention to detail and will have good math skills to make the necessary calculations. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities.

What will you own?
  • Enter payroll for all employees weekly and bi-monthly with accuracy.
  • Primary point of contact for all payroll audit and data requests.
  • Act as primary point of contact for the general ledger and banking team for payroll related questions.
  • Oversee quarter and year-end processes in order to ensure proper filing of employee and company tax filings.
  • Resolve all withholding tax issues with the respective jurisdictions including arranging payment and amendments through third-party tax vendors.
  • Coordinate all employee level amendments and W-2C issuance with payroll vendor.
  • Work with HR on various projects/issues such as payroll software upgrades, interface changes, integrations of acquisitions etc.
  • Perform HRIS/Payroll systems administration including creating new earnings and deduction code requests.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to regularly review payroll policies and practices.
  • Direct daily activities of team members, monitor deadlines and provide support and coaching.
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Work with international payroll processors to coordinate and process monthly payroll for international employees.

What you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or American Payroll Association – Certified Payroll Professional certification required (both highly preferred).
  • At least five years of payroll experience.
  • Ability to to generate the weekly and Semimonthly payroll Journal entry that will be submitted to the Accounting/Finance group for posting to the G/L.
  • Experience in communicating at senior management level.
  • Previous experience managing payroll integration or migration projects preferred
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Strong drive and ability to tackle challenges from different perspectives.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and a team player.
  • Technical knowledge of HRIS/Payroll interfaces a plus.
  • High level of competence in Excel.
  • Ability to follow through from beginning to end.
  • Experience working with 3rd party payroll processors.
