TripAdvisor is seeking a Transfer Pricing Manager to join its tax team. The TripAdvisor tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager Transfer Pricing, this individual will primarily manage our global day-to-day transfer pricing operations and provide tax planning and structuring support for our businesses. Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform monthly transfer pricing calculations and assist with tax forecasting
- Perform financial / economic analyses and build financial valuation models
- Advise on transfer pricing planning aspects of business expansion including entering into new countries, reorganizations, and cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions
- Monitor and analyze existing and proposed tax legislation and define and implement appropriate global strategies
- Perform functional interviews to document the interaction of global subsidiaries
- Prepare / review transfer pricing local file reports as well as country by country reporting and 1120 schedule M
- Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and report results and recommendations
- Perform ASC 740 analyses and document relevant positions
- Assist with audits / providing tax controversy support
- Manage and collaborate with outside advisors
- Draft intercompany agreements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of transfer pricing experience in public accounting, equivalent consulting or industry experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; advanced degree (i.e., MBA) preferred, but not required
- Strong transfer pricing planning and technical expertise with robust understanding of US, OECD and local transfer pricing laws and regulations, experience in tax controversy, and knowledge of other cross-functional tax matters
- Ability to think strategically and to proactively identify, research, and resolve transfer pricing issues
- Self-starter, hard-working, advanced project manager, and quick learner, with the capability to work in a dynamic, often ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate actionable advise to senior management regarding complex transfer pricing issues
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and partner well with people at all levels within an organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
