EnerNOC, Inc., an Enel Group company and a leading provider of energy flexibility and advisory solutions is recruiting a Manager of Project Finance. The position is available in EnerNOC’s Boston office, reporting to the VP of Corporate Finance. As a key business partner to our product and functional leaders, you will drive the financial modeling of various investment opportunities, prepare formal proposals to our internal investment committee, and track ongoing project progress. In addition, you will assess and develop third-party financing relationships, leveraging your experience in project finance, tax equity investing, and contract structuring. Your demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with business leaders and effectively distill complex data into clear, actionable information will be essential to informing critical capital investment, capital structure, and strategy decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain pipeline of investment opportunities across multiple product lines and countries including but not limited to:
    • Battery storage and solar PV projects
    • New regional market entry
    • Software platform enhancements
    • Large IT hardware/infrastructure investments
    • M&A and strategic partnerships
  • Support business leaders in financial modeling and structuring of new business initiatives
  • Partner with business leaders to frame investment proposals for internal investment committee
  • Track and report ongoing progress of approved capital investments
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential financing partners to originate and drive formal arrangements around capital needs
  • Inform financial forecast for all capital investments
  • Special projects as required

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • Bachelors/Masters, preferably with a degree in finance, economics, statistics, or other analytic field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in finance, corporate development or project finance, preferably in energy industry (solar or storage financing background is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts
  • High level of proficiency with financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
  • Superb oral and written communications skills; Ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise communications – specifically through Microsoft Power Point
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders at upper management and line levels
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and the ability to work with changing priorities
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
