International Controller

The role of the International Controller is a highly visible role in the finance team. The individual will primarily be responsible for owning the International day-to-day operations, including the monthly close process, payroll, and accounts payable, while managing the local controllers. This role requires a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Outcomes & Responsibilities:

• Establish control framework across international markets
  • Creation of walkthrough documentation by process area
  • Identify control gaps and key controls
  • Create a game plan for use of automation within Oracle (or other process) to reduce reliance on manual controls
• Lead BU setup in Oracle
  • Ensure inventory module is fully ramped
  • Assist in implementation of manufacturing module
  • Set up of new entities as applicable
• Obtain a clear understanding of the local markets
  • Identifies and understands key business and accounting risks across locations
  • Owns the international reporting calendar
  • Develops standard close process for international markets
  • Able to assist in thinking strategically about how to shorten the close process
  • Able to provide best practice guidance on various processes and systems
  • Develop organizational charts for planned growth
• Become the go-to person by the international corporate team for all things related to finance operations
  • Considered a point person for key accounting and finance operational issues by the corporate teams
  • Viewed as a cross functional lead

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience
• CPA required
• Able to travel 25% of the time
• Experience with statutory reporting preferred
• IT/Data Management fluent
• Working knowledge of IFRS a plus
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
• Prior experience with international markets required
