Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic individual to join a high-performing team that owns the accounting and financial reporting functions. This position must be able to work cross functionally and wear multiple hats.
Key Activities:
- Build and maintain the financial model / budget
- Work closely with accounting to build and update a standard reporting package for management and investors
- Work with finance and sales leadership to manage and analyze the input of sales quotas, commission structures and bonuses to ensure synergies are maintained between the compensation system and financial operational processes
- Perform customer segmentation analysis around acquisition channels, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value
- Take a proactive approach to defining metrics, reports, and dashboards, including development, maintenance and update of daily and monthly key metrics reports
- Work closely with marketing to measure the direct and indirect ROI (financial and user growth) of various marketing initiatives as well as building an analytical framework used to analyze the marketing funnel
- Help update key company success metrics, as well as monthly business and financial projection models
- Combine great data analytics skills with strong business acumen to provide insights that will drive company growth
- Assist Accounting team in gathering and analyzing financial data for monthly financial reporting
- Provide actionable insights driven by sound quantitatively based analysis and clearly present findings
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Position Requirements:
- Degree in a quantitative major (math, economics, statistics, engineering, etc.)
- 2 years of analytical experience from an investment bank, consulting firm, Fortune 500 or high growth startup
- Enthusiastic and excited about data and its applications
- Entrepreneurial, quick learner, and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resourcefulness and perseverance to find data from whatever sources are available
- Modeling expertise skills using Excel
- Business savvy and comfortable presenting findings to executives
- Ability to work quickly and accurately on multiple projects simultaneously
- BS/BA required
