Job Overview: 

We are looking for a trusted finance professional to join Toast's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role will have significant exposure to all parts of the Toast business, and be a key resource in supporting the company's forecasts, annual budget cycle, management and Board reporting, as well as provide financial partnership to the organization. Specifically - they will play a significant role in designing, implementing, and executing planning and reporting processes with an integrated financial system, and will become the in-house expert on how our systems integrate to deliver insight to the business. In addition to administering the tools that support the team, you'll have the opportunity to create the next generation of tools and processes that will help drive strategic decisions and build financial literacy across the organization. This role is a key component of the Finance team at Toast, and the right candidate for this role will demonstrate not only strong financial and technical aptitude, but will also be self directed, curious, and driven by innovation.
What you will do:
  • Leverage large financial and non-financial data sets to report financial and non-financial metrics (KPIs, OKRs, etc) that deliver insights around the financial and operational performance of Toast products and services
  • Administering Toast's instance of Adaptive Insights to support financial forecasting, planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Integrating Adaptive Insights with other tools used by the Company, including (but not limited to) Netsuite, WorkDay, and Greenhouse
  • Leveraging system functionality to automate processes where applicable
  • Coordinating with Finance business partners and Company stakeholders to build, adapt, and manage system functionality to meet the demands of a dynamically growing business
  • Coordinating with external counterparts and service providers to ensure desired outcomes and work products are achieved 
  • Designing and implementing models and dashboards for multiple Adaptive Insights end-users, in order to enable user input, self-service reporting, and promote financial literacy throughout the organization
  • Financial modeling using data from multiple sources and standardizing into system-readable lists and fields
  • Maintain a working knowledge of innovations and new features of Toast's financial business systems such that Toast is able to leverage the cutting edge capabilities of our tools
Do you have the right ingredients?
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • 2-4 years of financial planning & analysis experience in a high growth environment
  • Experience in investment banking, consulting, or transaction advisory highly preferred
  • Previous experience using Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion Essbase Planning, Host Analytics, TM1 or other financial planning software 
  • Strong attention to detail; devotion to accuracy and data integrity
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Must be comfortable working with large data sets
  • Must be proficient in SQL and/or other database languages
  • Must be a self directed learner - willing and able to identify, diagnose, innovate, and solve complex systems or business issues independently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team within high pressure situations
  • Think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth
