We are hiring a Finance & Operations Manager to partner with our team in managing our financial operations and guide Perceptive Automata’s administrative needs. Reporting to the CEO, this role will provide a range of financial and operational support to the company. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of office, accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, vendor management and operational tasks.

Finance Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, and Payroll
  • Budget tracking and coordination for the company, projects, and contractors. Updating quarterly and annual financial projections.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Recommend, oversee and manage the company expense process
  • Maintain and manage insurance coverage and policies
  • Initiate and manage reporting requirements for grants and prepare proposals for additional grants when needed
  • Manage R&D purchasing, purchase requests, checks, mail, and packages

Operation Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the office: purchasing office supplies, lunch ordering, credit card expense tracking, etc.
  • Act as primary point of contact for building management

Strong Preferred Skills and Background:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • 3-5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Strong interpersonal skills – effectively interacts with all levels of staff and external contacts
  • Proven ability to lead and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and build consensus within multidisciplinary teams
  • Self-starter with an eye for detail
