Finance and Accounting Manager
In your role as Finance and Accounting (F&A) Manager at LeanIX, you are responsible for the U.S. finance and accounting activities. You will take on a valuable and versatile role within our global finance team and work closely with the VP Operations U.S., the finance team at the company’s headquarters in Germany, other internal departments and external parties (customers, suppliers, banks, tax authorities).
In line with the continuous growth of our U.S. operations, we are looking for the first finance hire for our Watertown, MA office. You will excel in this role if you are interested in and able to bring in ideas on how to improve, digitalize and automate our processes on an ongoing basis. At the same time, your reliability and attention to detail will show that you can manage different projects at the same time, while actively running our day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Be the go-to person when it comes to all finance and accounting related matters for our U.S. operations
- Ensure that month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing is delivered accurately and timely
- Prepare cost analyses, draft management reports, share insights and identify necessary action items as needed
- Provide cash flow forecasting and support the overall budget and forecasting processes
- Support conversations with customers and suppliers on payment terms and collections
- Actively support tax compliance requirements
- Look for continuous improvement on process automation within Finance and play an active role in the implementation of applicable tools
- Prepare meaningful reports and slides regarding different finance topics for local management as well as the German headquarters
Requirements
- 3-5 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting, ideally in a SaaS environment or at a public accounting firm (preferably Big 4 or another large, national firm)
- Strong general ledger experience accompanied by a focus on revenue recognition (CPA certification, either completed or in progress, is a plus)
- Ability to structure and prioritize your work well, manage multiple projects and work streams at the same time and demonstrate strong ownership towards your tasks
- Analytical way of working, number-driven
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
- Desire to work in a growing, hands-on, and fast-paced scale-up environment
- Ability to develop yourself and assist in building a team as the company continues to scale
