Caring
- You’ll play a critical role in shaping, building, and managing the accounting, payroll, tax, and financial reporting function of the company. As the experienced, ambitious, hands-on Accounting team lead, you’ll possess the requisite accounting expertise, knowledge of core financial processes and systems and business cycle understanding to lead the Accounting team and help guide the broader Finance function.
Ownership
- You’ll provide core support to the Chief Financial Officer by overseeing the general ledger of accounts, financial statement preparation, reporting systems and internal financial controls in accordance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- You’ll ensure proper, timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions, business unit allocations and financial reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including board communications.
- You’ll serve as the subject matter expert on critical accounting matters including revenue recognition (ASC 606), purchase price accounting, and capital structure-related items.
- You’ll coordinate all audit activity with the company’s auditor, as well as manage other outside resources as needed.
- You’ll maintain strong relationships with appropriate internal and external parties such as customers, vendors, auditors, and commercial bankers, while ensuring that all compliance requirements are met.
- You’ll oversee tax and regulatory requirements, ensuring all filing deadlines are met in compliance with federal and state statutes, including registration in new states as the company expands operations.
- You’ll report to the Chief Financial Officer in the Finance Department within the General & Administrative Division.

- You’ll use your CPA and 12+ years of Accounting, Finance, and strategic business planning to:
- Share your concrete practices and execution of a consistent monthly financial close process, implementing policies and procedures that ensure results are in accordance with US GAAP.
- Analyze and present financial data in a timely and accurate manner, including normalizing financials for one-time items, communicating monthly and quarterly results vs. budget, and assessing performance.
- Be an owner and administrator of key financial systems such as Netsuite, Avalara, Blackline, Concur and ADP; you’ll also provide insight into the adoption of new applications and processes.
- Collaborate with all departments and levels within the organization, including senior executives and shareholders on financial scorecard initiatives.
- Add to your knowledge of SaaS, M&A experience and/or operating within a publicly traded company.
- Use Salesforce.com to oversee the order-to-cash process, including deferred revenue and commissions accounting.
