About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Commissions Manager to join our Revenue Accounting Team to elevate our commissions cycle process and drive the timely and accurate recording of sales incentives & compensation. This individual will have a proven track record of working across functional teams in a fast-based environment and will foster a collaborative spirit. They will have incredible attention to detail and be a critical part of the monthly close process but will also be collaborating closely with stakeholders outside of the accounting team.

This year the team will be prioritizing implementing controls around the revenue and commission accounting function, ensuring the accurate implementation of ASC 606/340 adjustments and creating the necessary system configuration for plan changes and ASC 606/340 adoption. This role is a critical part of these initiatives. As part of the Snyk team, you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate the core values of being easy to work with, ship it (bias for action), care deeply, and be one team while working with best-in-class development security intelligence.

You’ll spend your time: 

  • leading global sales commissions calculations and related accounting and reporting
  • owning data integrity, system administrative responsibilities, and external relationships for Sales Incentive Management software (Xactly)
  • partnering with Finance & Sales Operations on creating comp structures, quotas and maintain monthly commission reporting and forecasting
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of sales commissions and deferred commissions under U.S. GAAP

You should apply if you:

  • have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • have 5-7 years experience in owning a global sales commissions calculation cycle
  • have a conceptual  understanding of GAAP accounting rules related to deferred commissions and ASC 606/340
  • are incredibly easy to work and have the ability to build strong cross-team relationships even when divided interests exist
  • have a bias for action, works iteratively towards bigger picture goal, and strives for continuous improvement especially related to sales compensation & incentives

We’d especially love to hear from you if you:

  • have experience working with Xactly, Salesforce  & Netsuite
  • have created dashboards, KPIs and other management tools related to sales compensation and performance
  • are agile and enjoy the speed of a fast-paced, highly engaged startup environment
  • are a problem solver, you love to break problems into actionable tasks and bring to resolution
