The position of the Cash Applications Specialist is a key role within a growing order management team. The individual will primarily be responsible for the execution and oversight of all customer cash collections and resolve any open-ended accounting discrepancies for the organization while demonstrating the core values of Indigo. In this newly created role, you will accurately record and post daily cash receipts, provide assistance during the accounting month-end close process, collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review lockbox cash receipts on daily basis
- Record and apply customer cash receipts to the G/L within a twenty-four-hour timeframe
- Maintain cash application spreadsheet
- Identity reconciling items on a daily basis and assist with cash reconciliation projects
- Track cash receipts from buyers at the grower delivery level
- Initiate grower payment with accounts payable upon receipt of payment from the buyer for the Marketplace
- Work cross functionally to find required support for reconciling cash receipts
- Work with the buyers to understand the remittance that lack proper support
- Identify and resolve unidentified cash receipts
- Establish strong relationship with Customers, Sales and Client Management team
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries

Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher required
- Must have 2+ years of experience in cash applications work
- Advanced excel skills
- Proven ability to work with others to develop effective internal/external relationships with stakeholders and vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel
