Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report to the Finance Operations Manager and will perform Butterfly Network’s Accounts Receivable activities.  In this position you will support  internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience within your spheres of influence.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of attention to detail, a strong customer focus, and a process improvement mindset. 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Process all cash applications daily, including but not limited to, credit cards, ACH’s, wires and lockbox.  Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
  • Perform daily Collection activities on past due accounts.
  • Assist in the review and processing of customer credit requests and invoice corrections.
  • Support the billing and invoicing activities as needed.  Work with the Finance Operations Accountant to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of sales orders and invoices.
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities.
  • Deploy a strong customer first mindset to ensure there is a timely response to internal and external sales and billing inquiries.
  • Recommend process improvements within your areas of responsibility to support Butterfly’s current and future growth.
  • Assist in the development of procedures and policies to support the organization’s objectives in a way they can be enforceable, reduces organizational/operational expenses, and increases efficiency.
  • Complies with all Butterfly’s internal controls and governance policies.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong customer service background
  • Highly effective communication skills and experience in handling customer inquiries
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Working knowledge of NetSuite or other similar ERP systems
  • SAAS and/or medical device industry experience
