Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist

Overview

An opportunity to be part of the North American regional accounting team at a rapidly growing public cloud-based email management solutions company. We are seeking an experienced accounts payable and payroll specialist.   This role will support the North American accounts payable and payroll functions for Mimecast. We are looking for someone with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Payroll and Expense Reporting:

 

  • Coordinate all aspects of expense reporting for North America including managing Concur, performing the expense reports review and approval in accordance with company policies and ensure timely payment to the employees.
  • Assist in processing bimonthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage and organize the expense report email inbox.
  • Assist in the dissemination of W-2's if required.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Respond to internal payroll and expense reporting related inquiries or requests as needed.

 

Accounts Payable:

 

  • Enter invoices into the NetSuite system and execute accounts payable payment runs as required. Work with internal customers to ensure purchase orders (POs) are in place. Attach POs to incoming invoices and investigate issues with POs and invoices.
  • Manage and organize the accounts payable email inbox.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries, troubleshoot billing issues and escalate issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the monthly AP closings.
  • Generate all 1099s.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounts payable, payroll or accounting experience in a fast paced, dynamic, growing company
  • Candidates with NetSuite and Concur experience are preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word is required
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently
  • Possess strong communication, problem solving, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
