As the UX Designer, you will be responsible for defining and executing UX processes, methodologies, and standards for a product. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to build first-in-class user experiences for commercial-grade applications for Life Science & Biotech industries. This position calls for an experienced UXD with advanced field research and testing/assessment skills who can also develop stellar information architecture deliverables. This position is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessment methods such as usability testing, heuristic analyses, UI reviews, complexity measures, KLM GOMS, etc. to measure the UX of early designs to mature products.
  • Translate research and testing findings into actionable requirements through comprehensive data analysis.
  • Design and prototype information architecture (IA) solutions that reflect a balance between efficiency, ease of use, user satisfaction, business goals, and technical constraints. 
  • · Produce UX Architecture specifications that may include detailed wireframes, concrete use cases, annotated prototypes, user stories, etc. through close collaboration with the Design Team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a high-tech UX team in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
  • Fundamental understanding of:
  • Usability testing methods, such as formative, summative, moderated, automated, remote, local, RITE, etc. 
  • Information architecture concepts, conceptual design, and detail design 
  • Experience researching, testing, and designing experiences for tablet
  • Ability to interpret business and functional requirements from a user-centered as opposed to feature-centered perspective 
  • Proficiency with standard wireframing and prototyping tools (Sketch, InVision, Axure, etc.)
  • Comfortable creating high-fidelity mockups
  • Extensive experience interfacing with customers and users 

  • Required Education

  • Master's degree in Human Factors, User Experience Design, HCI, Information Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with agile development
  • Knowledge of the pharma and life sciences industry
