Placester needs a Senior Visual UX/UI Designer to help us deliver an amazing experience to our customers and fundamentally change how they interact with our product. You are a detailed and systematic thinker who dreams of pattern libraries and uses “whiteboard” as one of your favorite verbs. You rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality, inspiring visuals - from concept to execution - across multiple platforms.

You are more than a graphic designer, an interface designer, or a wireframe painter - you believe the visual language of a system gives meaning to the entire digital experience. You want to work for a leadership team that is focused first and foremost on delighting customers. You want to lead and work with other designers to constantly create innovative, great-looking products that people rave about and recommend to their peers.

Why join us now? Placester is a SaaS solution focused on delighting real estate agents with beautiful, intuitive, pixel-perfect sites to help them build their brand and better serve their customers. Many companies will let you tweak existing products within certain limits. Our CEO has given us permission to innovate everything to improve our customers’ experience. Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to actually leave a mark in an immense industry undergoing a major tech-fueled transformation!

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with your peers in product and engineering from inception in shaping the product direction and designing innovative solutions and experiences for our customers. Then wow them with beautiful, intuitive execution.
  • Conceptualize on how to bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex workflows and design roadblocks.
  • Wireframe, storyboard, layout user and process flows and create sitemaps to work through and share your interaction and design ideas with peers for feedback and iteration.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Improve overall design through design reviews with the UX team and other stakeholders that facilitates articulating the concepts behind the design work, and the team giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Own and execute all visual design stages from concept to the final hand-off to engineering.
  • Get in the heads of our customers through speaking to internal and external customers (and prospective customers). Evaluate feedback on released product and designs to determine what to iterate on.
  • Be a part of building a UX culture to Placester with new methodologies, perspectives, tools and best practices. Help us build a design-mindset from the ground up.

What We Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in designing great user experiences for consumer products/services, with a mobile-first mentality. Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques and technologies.
  • A passionate advocate for the customer experience.
  • Great communicator and listener. You are able to communicate design decisions effectively to all levels of stakeholder and are open to different perspectives and feedback to deliver a better experience.
  • Someone who also understands the business side of design and execution.
  • A portfolio with work demonstrating mastery of interaction design, user experience and visual design. A demonstrated sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Figma, Gliffy or other visual design, wire-framing and prototyping tools. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • A creative problem solver able to see things from a different perspective and create the best solution.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Proficient in English
