Senior UX Designer, Web Strategy

As a Senior UX Designer for our Web Strategy team at HubSpot, you’ll own the user experience for HubSpot.com and its six regional sites, which are used every month by millions of people around the globe. You’ll be part of a rare, multidisciplinary group of design, CRO, SEO, copywriting, data analysis, web development, and video professionals that report to our Director of Web Strategy. Sitting at the heart of the business, your partners will include leaders from marketing, product, sales, and more. 

Your designs will impact the experience for marketing, sales and service professionals who are coming to HubSpot.com to learn about our software and services, find best practices in their field, read up on industry trends, and more.

About the role

We’re looking for highly skilled UX Designer to create the future of HubSpot.com. This is an important role and has serious, measurable impact on our business and users.

Responsibilities

  • Champion data-informed, user-centered design where the goals of the user and the business are brought together to form thoughtful solutions
  • Lead design from concept to final execution, conducting user research and then producing sketches, wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, and performance data following launch
  • Conduct A/B tests on individual pages, redesign sections of pages (like product descriptions, the blog, or various directories), and consider architecting the site if/when it's warranted
  • Collaborate across functions like CRO, SEO, copywriting, and data analysis to construct well-informed and effective designs
  • Be a voice of design leadership and thought at the company, including collaborating with the product team’s UX research organization

Qualities

  • Ability to come up with solutions that balance user needs and business outcomes
  • Confidence and flexibility to lead in place as the sole designer on a project or collaborate with multiple designers across functions 
  • Desire to challenge conventions
  • A knack for conducting research and analyzing data (both qualitative and quantitative) to inform web strategies
  • Passion for helping our customers—small and medium-sized businesses—compete and win against their bigger competition
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects

Experience

  • A strong understanding of good user experience, IA, interaction and visual design
  • Comfort in conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative research , including usability testing, stakeholder interviewing, and behavioral / conversion analysis
  • Enough familiarity with HTML/CSS to design thoughtful web experiences and effectively communicate ideas to developers
  • Portfolio work with your process clearly described, including: customer research, problem definition, early sketching, concept refinement and delivery, and success measurement
  • High degree of experience with Sketch and/or Adobe, and familiarity with prototyping tools such as InVision
  • Ability to work with and contribute to Canvas, HubSpot’s global design system
  • 3+ years of designing web and mobile experiences
