We are seeking a Senior Industrial Designer with a well-rounded background in product development, design, engineering, and a passion for physical user experience. This role will be focused on designing next generation vehicles and products for Superpedestrian including the evaluation of design concepts, rapid prototyping to validate form/fit/function, and R&D work to drive future development efforts.

What you'll do:

  • Lead development of new products and features from conceptualization through production
  • Produce high quality detailed concepts of new features and products
  • Communicate design concepts to a cross-functional team and moderate design reviews
  • Rapidly itegrate concept development using various prototyping techniques
  • Ability to develop & translate CMF (Color-Material-Finish) decks into engineering requirements and provide feedback on manufacturing feasibility
  • Interact with customers to understand problem space and improve user experience

What we're looking for:

  • Established track record in product design and engineering development from conceptualization to post-launch support
  • Ability to quickly create design concepts based on product requirements
  • 5+ years of experience 3D modeling in SolidWorks
  • Proficient in rendering and design tools: Keyshot, InVision
  • Experience creating prototypes to display & evaluate aesthetic direction and/or functionality
  • Strong sketching/wire-framing skills
  • Skilled in material identification, evaluation, and tradeoff management
  • Experience in designing for a variety of manufacturing methods – including plastic injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, extrusions
