About the Experience Architect Position

Verndale has an immediate need for a contract UX Architect to fill in for a team member who is on maternity leave. This will be a 4-6 week project (could possibly extend) and we're looking for about 40 hours per week. 

Your expertise is in helping shape the future of the customer experience for clients. You would be a great fit if you are passionate about solving user problems, thriving in a collaborative team environment to create simple, intuitive experiences. Our team is filled with inspired designers & architects and we are looking for someone to enthusiastically join a project team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client stakeholders, program management, creative team, and technical business analysts to formulate strategic direction for our clients. 
  • Be able to lead, run and facilitate customer experience workshops that will influence persona creation and customer journeys. 
  • Have familiarity conducting customer research in the form of stakeholder interviews, surveys, and usability testing. 
  • Own the information architecture by creating superior user experience visualized through sitemaps and prototypes
  • Build strong relationships across project disciplines, such as Design, Technical Business Analyst, Engineering, and Program Management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing engaging user experiences
  • Understanding of the technology, their capabilities, and limitations
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity
  • Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
  • Expertise with Axure (mandatory), Sketch, Invision, Optimalsort and Morae
