DataRobot has a new role to provide fanatical support to our growing engineering team so that they have the right information at the right time. If you love to learn about how software works and collaborate with lead engineers with domain expertise to share knowledge in an easily understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences, then this just might be the opportunity you’re looking for.

You will be responsible for:

  • An initiative to launch an internal Knowledge Base so that people can self-serve their own information needs, looking up common questions in a well maintained FAQ, and accessing organized technical documentation related to the product, infrastructure and internal tooling. You will be the primary curator and moderator for the content - ensuring that it is organized, relevant and accurate.
  • Helping develop new technical content in collaboration with developers across our engineering teams, as well as technical writers for our product documentation, and our customer support teams.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Demonstrate ability to create beautiful, readable technical documentation targeted at developers.
  • Be able to tame complexity, and organize lots of information in ways that make it easy for others to find.
  • Have great verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts in simple terms that are understandable to even a non-technical audience.
  • Be self-directed and have a sense of ownership over their work

Qualifications:

  • Mac and/or Linux
  • Prior experience with content management systems (Confluence, or equivalent)
  • Git
  • Markdown, Sphinx
  • Optional but highly desired:
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Litmos, etc.
    • Experience with screencast recording using tools like Camtasia Studio
    • Ability to read and understand code in various languages (python, javascript)

We would be happy to receive your CV with the samples of your writing attached!
