Circle is on a mission to make it possible for everyone, everywhere to create and share value. We're building a new kind of consumer finance. Unlike existing systems that are closed and proprietary, we use open internet standards and protocols, including the blockchain, to build our products.
We've already made sending money around the world free and as easy as sending a text with Circle Pay. With Circle Trade, we're market makers for the top crypto currencies and offer OTC trading services. Now, we're expanding our offerings by building a cryptocurrency investment product (https://invest.circle.com) to enable anyone to buy and sell cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
What does that mean for the global economy? It's more open. More inclusive. And more empowering.
We're seeking a word nerd for our in-house creative team. This position is much more than copy. It’s thinking conceptually, writing creatively, questioning strategically and laughing uproariously. (That last part isn’t required but if you think we’re funny, it helps. If we think you’re funny, it helps a lot.)
While you may have never worked in-house or for a startup, you are totally obsessed with words and their power. You have ideas that you are dying to share. You have brands you love. You will rewrite a subject line 50 times to get it right, and understand how difficult simplicity can be. You rewrite ads that you see on the T or emails that you get from companies, in your head.
What you'll work on
- In-product copy for the app
- Website copy, promotional landing pages, marketing emails, display ads and social advertising
- Corporate assets like PR infographics, presentation decks or HR materials
What you gotta have
- 5 years’ writing experience (consumer brands preferred)
- Strong creative concepting
- Priority juggling and deadline meeting
- Typing skills, obviously
- "Eagle eyes" and a problem solving brain
- An online portfolio that excites us
- Circle Pay (our app — download it and use it)
What will impress us even more...
- Integrated campaign experience
- Agency background
- Witty banter on Slack
