Places Content Specialist, Spanish

Ensuring the integrity and quality of the TripAdvisor’s location data is job #1 for the Places Team. We manage the backbone of TripAdvisor’s travel content: our ever-growing database of accommodations, attractions, restaurants and geographic locations. We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented and analytical specialist to join the team that processes content workflows, defines and educates on listings policies, and advocates for improvements to listings products and processes on behalf of end-users.
What you will do
Become an expert in Places moderation policies, providing language and country-specific expertise as needed
Make consistent decisions on high-risk content with a deep understanding of potential impact to our users and to the website
Serve on a panel of Places policy experts that handles escalations from Customer Support channels, and makes the final decision on content disputed by end users.
Oversee the work of team members at vendor partner sites globally with a focus on quality
Monitor the turnaround of user-generated content
Assist in the development of documentation and training materials that support a consistent global process
Participate in the training, shadowing and mentorship of new team members and moderators.
Use SQL queries to track key metrics and analyze content trends
Utilize metrics to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of tools, enhance automation, and improve quality
Help with testing of new features and tool improvements
Identify, troubleshoot, and document bugs found on the TripAdvisor website and in our internal tools
Innovate on new automated or operational processes to impactfully increase the speed and efficiency of moderation
What you will bring to the team
1+ years of relevant professional experience
University degree required
Fluency in Spanish and English required. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
Confident in decision making and able to resolve complex problems
Strong communication skills and a talent for collaboration across a global team at all levels of the company
Flexibility and adaptability particularly in a changing, fast-paced, and often ambiguous work environment
Results-oriented with ability to use feedback and metrics to improve future performance
Strong execution skills with a focus on speed and efficiency of results
Strong technical skills including experience using Google and Microsoft products and web-based tools. Experience with SQL and/or business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, preferred.
