About the role


We’re looking for a content development, market research, and marketing maven. Someone who enjoys digging their teeth into the latest tech, business and innovation trends, and who can put together figures and charts and write a compelling story or blog post about what they are seeing and observing. Someone who is data and fact driven, but also human and relatable, and who can share their insights in a clear, succinct and compelling way on paper and by voice. Someone who enjoys standing up and presenting their insights, but also enjoys being part of a team and helping others craft, shape, and share their ideas with the world. A dynamic team player who can think critically and believes that the “cat’s meow” is developing, storylining and promoting content of all kinds, e.g. blogs, social posts, keynote/powerpoint decks, videos and more! Key responsibilities


  • Own and manage Cantina’s content development strategy in close collaboration with Cantina’s VP of Marketing, Department Heads, and Executive Leadership Team
  • Work closely with Cantina’s Principals, thought leaders, and sales executives to produce targeted and compelling content (blogs, discussion decks, presentations, etc.) relevant to Cantina’s audience, e.g. C-suite execs, VPs, Heads of Innovation, Design, Tech, Strategy
  • Collaborate with external industry experts to gain insights into the market and produce compelling content for Cantina and the broader tech, innovation, and design community
  • Conduct in-depth company and market research to uncover trends, issues, and insights that our clients care about and will want to understand to be successful in their roles
  • Evaluate and identify new ways to deepen client relationships, as well as reach new customers with targeted content and “Cantina Insights” on key topics
  • Take control of Cantina’s social media channels and develop and execute a winning strategy to build Cantina’s online brand and community
  • Own, manage, and update Cantina’s core sales content for maximum impact with clients and prospects. This includes: the Cantina intro deck, credential content, and case studies
  • Help drive critical strategic and operational initiatives in coordination with the VP of Marketing and Cantina’s Leadership Team to support Cantina’s continued growth and evolution as a leading strategic design and development agency


Qualifications (must haves)


  • 3+ years of experience in PR/communications, management consulting, marketing, content development, and/or market research
  • Strong and highly competent writer and storyteller with a proven portfolio
  • A genuine interest in tech, innovation, business strategy and design
  • Analytical, data-driven and research oriented but also a creative thinker who can communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively on paper and by voice
  • Experience visualizing data and concepts in charts, figures, and infographics
  • Experience with market research, analysis, synthesis, and reporting
  • “Can do” attitude and excited about trying new things and learning how to improve them
  • A team player who enjoys working with others in a highly collaborative environment
  • Organized, deeply curious, a good listener and communicator who is inspired by the idea of working in tech, innovation, and design with a dynamic and fun team who doesn’t take themselves too seriously
  • BA/BS or higher, preferably in marketing, business, communications, creative writing, design or CS/engineering


Qualifications (nice-to-haves)


  • Experience with social media, marketing automation, content management, and/or CRM systems (preferably HubSpot with Certification)
  • Experience with visual design, data visualization, and presentation software, including Keynote, Powerpoint and/or Google Slides
  • Experience with SEO, content marketing, and campaign development and execution, including KPI development, data analysis and evaluation
  • Experience implementing and scaling content development initiatives and processes
  • A proven “knack for” creative content development that resonates with the C-suite and other senior decision-makers

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
