Position Summary:

The Marketing Communications Writer/Editor will manage the content development to create compelling communications in support of B2B e programs. This person understands the business objectives, audience, positioning and key messages for each project, campaign or event; they adeptly edit content and manage its production in market-facing marketing communications vehicles to promote Netcracker’s brand and products, maintain messaging consistency, and supporting the goals of the sales and marketing teams.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, this person will play a critical role in helping the team develop content for demand generation, web, and general brand awareness leveraging best practices in all mediums.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and produce marketing deliverables -- articles, blog posts, landing pages, whitepapers, press releases, event invitations, landing pages, case studies, presentations, video scripts and other customer communications materials.
  • Serve as peer editor for works created by others in the organization.
  • Analyze competitor communications to ensure we are emphasizing our points of differentiation.
  • Maintain a consistent Netcracker voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels
  • Work in tandem with Netcracker Executives, own the successful execution of the Corporate Quarterly Report from content creation through to production.
  • PR – Increase Netcracker’s global public relations presence; make certain the press release pipeline for the regions continues to grow, as well as general PR/ brand awareness.
  • Understands and adds value to the development of project or campaign deliverables by participating in project or campaign kickoff calls and regular meetings of product marketing and demand-generation teams.
  • Create and maintain large and complex projects status, including project plans and budgets utilizing Netcracker’s preferred project management online tool.
  • Track, analyze and follow up on the ROI/effectiveness of marketing campaigns and events to determine ROI and prioritize resources.
  • Responsible for establishing and clearly communicating Marketing strategy to the team; providing feedback regarding tactical operations including goal setting and performance management.
  • Manage/coach team members to ensure high levels of execution of their projects.
  • Plan and execute roadshows, meetings and events; follow best practices, and department processes and procedures for all event components including venue sourcing, production and post-event analysis .
  • Work closely with the sales organization to meet their need of marketing support for sales and prospect engagements.

Experience & Requirements:

Extensive experience managing and/or creating marketing or corporate communications deliverables, preferably to promote technology products. Proven track record with a deep, credible portfolio of successful projects that demonstrate their ability to produce clear and/or persuasive copy and add value to the Company. The ideal candidate is a strong leader in editing and writing.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years in high-tech corporate communications and a strong familiarity with the telecom industry and technologies.
  • Proven ability to understand integrated marketing strategy and write effective copy to support that strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail in a high-volume, active, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven positioning, value-prop marketing copywriting skills for a technology firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Able to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-oriented content / storylines.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply corporate messaging framework to the appropriate content pieces.

Skills:

  • Excellent written, spoken, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to proof read and edit content at the highest level of quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accurate, error-free work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities required.
  • Exhibit drive, initative and enthusiasm.
  • CRM experience preferred.
  • Must provide a minimum of three writing samples illustrating experience in B2B marketing communications.

Education:

BA in English, journalism, communications or other field of study that requires critical thinking and significant editorial output
