Ensuring the integrity and quality of TripAdvisor’s location data is job #1 for the Places Team. We manage the backbone of TripAdvisor’s travel content: our ever-growing database of accommodations, attractions, restaurants and geographic locations. We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented and analytical specialist to join the team that processes content workflows, and ensures the accuracy of our POI content. The role will focus primarily on content in Italy and in the Italian language, but the role will also include assisting in English content as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Quickly ramp up as a listings policy expert, with an in depth understanding of the “what” and “why” behind all listings and geography policies
  • Take ownership of all Italian listings content including planning resources and forecasting volumes
  • Ensure the accuracy of user submitted information about accommodations, restaurants and attractions, localizing property information as appropriate
  • Ensure requests are processed within specified turnaround period and SLA goals are met
  • Resolve escalated and reported issues related to Italian listings
  • Monitor and report weekly metrics on incoming volumes, issues and projects
  • Use data analysis to track trends and diagnose root causes of issues and friction. Quantify impact.
  • Identify tool and workflow changes that would improve efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate bug reports to Engineering team
  • Mentor junior analysts and conduct weekly quality assessments.
  • Assist in monitoring workflow processes.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • BA/BS required
  • Fluency in Italian and English languages
  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills: understanding and utilizing metrics to inform decisions and prioritization
  • Proven experience working independently and producing results with a sense of urgency
  • A knack for anticipating problems and suggesting solutions
  • Strong time management/prioritization skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and skills quickly
  • Must be comfortable making decisions and flexible to changing needs.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across a global workforce
  • Ability to apply guidelines consistently
  • Research experience and strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, as well as Google Docs and Sheets
  • Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and a positive attitude
