Job Summary

As a Digital Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating compelling copy that drives conversions on the DataRobot website, in digital advertising, and with other promotional methods. You will be required to build a plan that outlines how to increase conversions on the website and for digital advertising efforts. This role is completely focused on turning website visitors and ad viewers into people interested in learning more about DataRobot, and moving leads down the funnel to becoming rabid customers of DataRobot. This is a new role that requires a creative genius, out of the box thinker and a proven track record of developing effective copy that converts. Candidates will have passion for conversion and a strong grasp of current digital strategies gained in a B2B software environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing web and digital advertising copy that converts visitors to prospects and prospects into opportunities, aligned with company objectives
  • Assist our business operations team in developing scientific experiments that help improve conversion and overall effectiveness of web pages and digital advertising
  • Work with the web development team to identify areas where we can improve both the copy on the website as well as supporting visuals and site design
  • Work with the Content Marketing team to understand how ideas and concepts from key content pieces are best represented through short copy
  • Thorough understanding of the Buyer’s Journey and how to market to different Personas at different stages through the journey
  • Monitor blogs and social media sites to quickly identify important stories and coverage that could impact digital advertising or web copy
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of digital advertising trends and new capabilities to incorporate into the DataRobot promotional mix when appropriate
  • Monitor and report on conversion results, with a scientific focus on improving results based on testing and tweaking

Skills

  • 3+ years experience in content development with a focus on digital content
  • Proven experience with digital advertising copy and conversion
  • Experience in cutting edge, fast-paced industries - extra points for experience in analytics, big data, or related industries
  • Experience working with all major digital advertising outlets - Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and 3rd party media outlets similar to DataScienceCentral.com
  • Experience in monitoring results and improving conversions through testing
  • Ability to extract compelling elements from content developed by Content Marketing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Individual must exhibit strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to juggle priorities with superior organizational skills to meet deadlines
  • Able to interact professionally at all levels of the business
  • Creative and energetic, with a passion for conversion tactics
