Content Support Associate (Part-time position)
If you’re interested in learning the ropes of being a content and website manager, this role is an ideal opportunity. EdX is looking for an extremely detail-oriented individual who will contribute to the edX mission by assisting the marketing team in updating the courses on our website.
This role will start out helping to enter and manage a large content entry process. You’ll also be able to develop your digital marketing skills (SEO, HTML, light design skills, interacting with a brand) in a part time and flexible position. The position is for about 25 hours spread across 5 days a week, with an ideal schedule of 7a-12p.
Qualifications & Skills:
REQUIRED:
- 0-1 years of experience, with a background in marketing, web content editing, and/or data entry.
- Working knowledge of Content Management Systems.
- Proven ability to work on and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and to triage competing requests on a day-to-day basis.
- Understanding of Web best practices and an initiative to learn about and share the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing and site optimization.
- Demonstrates bias towards action and a comfort with ambiguity.
PREFERRED:
- Understanding of ticketing systems preferred.
- Previous experience with a Drupal backend or comparable CMS preferred.
- Experience with Gimp, Photoshop or other graphic editing system a plus.
