Are you looking to make your voice heard in a marketing organization that understands the power of content? Are you looking to become the voice of a brand, and be able to point directly at how you became the cornerstone of a marketing team? Then consider the of Content Manager and Writer position at NewStore. You will work in our Boston, Massachusetts office, and be responsible for driving a significant volume of content from both personal efforts and external sources. The content manager will first and foremost be a writer. Requiring a creative professional who understands how the major search engines work and how to optimize messaging in any medium, the job will ensure that NewStore content is relevant enough to create interest and move prospects through the funnel.

The Content Manager will be responsible for crafting and communicating our message verbally, in presentation form, multimedia, and in prose. This individual must have world-class writing and presentation skills, production skills, a strategic and analytical approach, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Oversee all content creation activities for the company across all channels
  • Work with Product Marketing to create product positioning and messaging that will create differentiation in the market; ensure that these messages are an intrinsic element of all collateral and communications put forth by the company.
  • Work hand in hand with Demand Generation to ensure we are on message to drive the funnel.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer personas, use cases needs and market direction to drive the focus of our go-to-market initiatives.
  • Drive clarity and consistency of message in everything that we do.
  • Create externally-facing content that communicates our brand and product messages.
  • Author internally facing content that fosters our values and motivates employees.
  • Create and manage content marketing calendar; drive core website copy, blogs and news articles, social media posts, content for banners, product descriptions, case studies, white papers, ebooks, company bios, and landing pages.
  • Stay on top of industry best practices; consistent review and research on industry keywords, trends, news, and more.
  • Manage social media.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience developing content for B2B offerings
  • Strong portfolio of writing examples across diverse media
  • Working knowledge of tools/systems, and experience creating, producing, editing, publishing and promoting content across multiple platforms - podcasts, webinar, video, and more.
  • Experience in or working with Retail and/or B2B technology companies a plus
  • Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
  • Ability to take complex information and turn it into an easy-to-understand copy
  • Ability to turn on a dime
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar
  • A deep understanding of consumers and what motivates them online
  • Great research, organizational, and learning skills
  • High comprehension of software like Microsoft Word and Google Docs
  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
  • Some experience with digital, content marketing, and lead generation
  • An understanding of formatting articles on the web
