We’re seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our Accounting team. This person will work closely with our Controller to run the accounting function here at dataxu. This person should be organized, able to manage a team in a fast-paced and high-performance, and work collaboratively across the Finance team as well as with other internal partners.

On the job

The Accounting Manager will be assigned several areas of responsibilities that may include the following:

• Team Lead- Lead US GL team and direct day-to-day activities of staff
• Point of Contact- Serve as point of contact for other dataxu departments
• Reconciliations – Review of reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
• Journal Entries – Review and approve routine and non-routine journal entries
• Consolidation- Serve as liaison to all foreign finance departments/consultants
• Close - Lead the month-end and year-end close processes including intercompany consolidation
• Audit - Assist with the year-end Audit and be key point person for external audit firm
• Accounting Operations- Assist Controller in oversight of general accounting operations (payroll, A/P, A/R)
• Other - Flexibility to work of special projects and other assignments as needed
• Develop Policies and Policies- Assist CFO and Controller in design and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures that fit a fast-growing company
• Mentor- Act as Mentor and Coach to the Accounting Staff

About You

• Active CPA license strongly preferred
• 5+ years work experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Careful attention to detail and accuracy is a required skill
• Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while achieving deadlines
• Strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to motivate a team
• Must be able to work equally well independently and as part of a team
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in working hard in a fast-paced but fun environment
• Experience in the following is a bonus but not required:
  • Experience using Intacct accounting software
  • Industry experience in advertising technology
  • IPO/M&A experience a major plus
