About the Role:
As a Tech Apprentice at Liberty Mutual Insurance, you will have the opportunity to learn, train, and network with our technology employees. You will be aligned to the Claims Predictive Modeling Agile squad, which partners closely with our Advanced Modeling counterparts to leverage cutting-edge technologies that enable strategic predictive capabilities across the claims-handling lifecycle. The initiatives within this area drive millions of dollars in annual savings for our Business, as well as enhance the claims experience to ultimately delight our customers. We are looking for students with an interest in exploring a career in software development, as well as a passion for leveraging technology to creatively solve challenging problems.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Pursuing a high school diploma
Currently in your junior or senior year of high school
Considering pursuing a technology-related degree
General interest in exploring a career in software development
Experience with a programming language required (ex. HTML, JavaScript, Java, Python etc.)
Exposure to Cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure

Gregory Bomkamp can rattle off a laundry list of the cool tech he uses in his role, but he says the most exciting aspect of his team is “the autonomy we’re given to explore innovative solutions. We never feel confined to any specific stack, technology or framework.” His team is only just beginning to “unlock the possibilities” of AI and machine learning, harnessing the immense amount of data to discover patterns and insights. On a typical day, after the morning Agile Scrum meeting, his team taps into pair programming, collaborative design and knowledge sharing to brainstorm solutions.
