TITAN was founded to accelerate the world’s electrification and decarbonization by optimizing battery energy storage for a clean, safe, and sustainable future. We work from the micro-scale in the laboratory to the macro problems of the world's largest energy systems. Our technology examines the molecular interaction of batteries using ultrasound by applying first principles of physics and advanced computation. We design and develop advanced electronics in-house which can economically and accurately measure small changes in the ultrasonic signal. Along with industry partners, we design, develop, and deploy scalable battery management systems (BMS) for electrical vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics. As a result our technology increases the capacity, service life, and safety of Li-ion batteries lowering the cost of energy storage and enabling a safe and distributed supply of energy. Bringing principles of transparency, traceability, and collaboration we are also building the Circular Economy for Li-ion batteries, enabling rapid battery diagnostics of used EV batteries and building Battago, the first battery marketplace focused on second life batteries, repurposing, and recycling. From the micro to the macro we support and influence the energy sector, providing knowledge and the opportunity to use batteries efficiently and effectively.
