Description

The Capital Network presents:

Boston-area entrepreneurs, innovators, funders and other interested community members are invited to attend the morning event 1 Million Cups on the second Wednesday of every month from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Hear from two local startups and help spark new ideas and feedback to move their venture forward!
Get in the holiday spirit with this months theme “Resolution”!

How it works: At every monthly event, two early-stage startups present their companies to an audience of mentors, advisers and other entrepreneurs. They’ll also share a challenge that they’re currently facing. Each founder presents for six minutes. Pitches are followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session from the audience, and an opportunity to provide suggestions and advice for the startup team.

Interested in presenting? Apply here by Jan 5: https://www.1millioncups.com/present

Please note that It’s not a sales pitch, and it’s not an investor pitch. The goal is to have people understand what you do and some of the challenges you have had in building your business.

Why Present?
- Opportunity to refine your presentation and elevator pitch
- A network for support, including coaching from 1 Million Cups organizers
- Access to online training programs designed to help you create a powerful presentation and master the Q&A
- Opportunity to present and again and again—after you made significant changes, or in another city
- A diverse audience to engage with and the opportunity for exposure to new markets and people
- The potential to receive local, regional or national media coverage on your startup

ABOUT 1 MILLION CUPS
Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 180 communities.
