This January, we will host our annual Women's Winternship at Virtu's Headquarters in New York. Our Winternship program offers students an exciting inside view into the world of global trading and the impact Virtu has on the global financial markets. As a Wintern, you will learn about how we trade at Virtu, our technology and trading tools and even work on your own trading project - all while mentored by experts in the industry.  

If you work hard as an individual and a collaborator and have the constant curiosity to ask the question "why", then this program is right for you!

OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM

  • Dates: January 5th to January 9th hosted in our New York office
  • Accommodations provided: meals, domestic transportation, hotel
  • Daily team based trading puzzles that will build toward a team capstone project presented at the end of the week (Prizes to the winners!)
  • Training on market-making fundamentals paired with immersive exercises using the tools of expert traders at Virtu 
  • Meeting and networking with senior traders and leadership 
  • Fun social events such as dinners, a tour of the NYSE, Broadway shows, and more! 
  • Early opportunity to be evaluated for Virtu's Summer Internship Program for 2027

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent academic background (all subjects welcome). Preferred experience in the following areas: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics
  • Outstanding quantitative problem‐solving skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Intermediate/ Advanced programming experience (Python preferred)
  • Interest in a career in financial services
  • A highly motivated team player: Genuine, well rounded, curious, collaborative person who can work towards collective goals
  • This program is intended for 2nd year undergraduate students who graduate in 2028

THE PROCESS

After applicants pass an initial resume screening, an online programming test may be sent via email. After which, we will contact you to arrange interviews.
