About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), the VP of Product Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping Panorama’s future. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves leading cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, and Client Experience—to define and execute a strategic product vision. You will drive innovation and ensure that the product strategy aligns with Panorama’s long-term goals and the evolving needs of K-12 educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Visionary Leadership: Lead the development and communication of a bold, forward-thinking product strategy. Build and refine a three-year roadmap aligned with Panorama’s goals, addressing client needs and market opportunities. Inspire and mentor teams, actively participating in daily operations to prioritize, make strategic decisions, and execute the vision. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continual improvement
  • Industry Expertise: Actively gather insights from clients, industry research, influencers, and luminaries to ensure the product strategy is cutting-edge and forward-thinking. Lead the analysis and integration of market trends and competitive landscapes to guide product development, ensuring that Panorama remains a leader in educational technology
  • Client-Centric Approach: Champion customer needs by engaging with clients and prospects to inform the product roadmap. Leverage feedback to drive innovation rooted in real-world use cases. Build strong relationships through regular client meetings and industry networking
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Client Experience, aligning product initiatives with client expectations. Drive alignment, foster collaboration, and integrate client feedback into the product strategy
  • Executive Communication: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations on product and market direction. Regularly communicate key insights and feedback gathered from clients to ensure alignment with market demands. Create and present board-ready materials, ensuring the product strategy reflects client needs and is aligned with company goals
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Panorama as a thought leader in education and technology, presenting at industry events and building the company’s reputation as an innovative leader

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, or similar disciplines, with a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, develop leadership capabilities in others, and drive a strong results-oriented culture
  • Client-Facing Experience: Proven success in working directly with clients to gather insights, shape product offerings, and maintain strong relationships. Ability to translate client feedback into actionable product strategies
  • K-12 Education Expertise: Deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, including market trends, opportunities, and challenges, with a specific focus on the needs of educators and school systems
  • Proven Success in Product Strategy: A demonstrated ability to build and execute product strategies from the ground up, particularly in fast-growing, dynamic environments
  • Proven Ability to Launch Successful Products: Demonstrated success in developing and launching commercially viable SaaS products in a B2B environment
  • Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams by fostering a culture of shared success, developing leadership within your team, and building collaborative partnerships across departments. Skilled at leading through influence rather than authority and empowering teams to innovate, take ownership, and excel in their roles
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences—from internal teams to C-suite executives and board members.
  • Executive-Level Experience: Comfortable working closely with the CEO and C-suite, producing board-ready materials, and engaging with key stakeholders
  • Educational Background: An MBA or equivalent experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong foundation in strategic thinking and business acumen

Willingness to Travel: Available to travel 25-40% for client visits, conferences, and internal meetings.

The starting salary range for this role is $252,000 - $280,000. Actual offers will depend on experience and skills.

The “Base Salary” range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary range involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. Our anticipated Base Salary determination is just one component of Panorama’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual bonus or commission awards, equity awards, as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
