UX Design Intern (Part-Time)

iZotope, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic part-time UX Design Intern for a paid internship. The successful candidate will assist the Design department, contributing towards our line of award-winning products and helping us build upon our internal tool set.
Every day is unique at iZotope, and that’s how we like it. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to work with our UX Designers, assisting with a variety of UX projects, from external user testing to helping us develop and build up our internal tools. The candidate will gain knowledge of best UX practices, holistic design thinking, and creating/maintaining a design system.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting interviews to understand how users interact with existing sound editing software and hardware, and understanding the challenges that they encounter
- Validate design ideas with users by showing them early stage prototypes and collecting feedback
- Finding data from existing research sessions and organizing it our internal database
- Must be able to multitask and manage multiple assignments
- Ability to work well under pressure and work closely with creative direction
- Clearly articulating ideas for improvements both verbally and via sketching
- Bonus points if you know how to work with Sketch / InVision
- Understanding of the music industry and audio market is a plus
Hours: Up to 20 hours/week, hours flexible
